Root 66 restaurant meal database

Welcome to our crowd-sourced database of restaurant meals in Flower Mound, Texas that have earned the designation of Root 66!  We invite and encourage you to contribute.  We are attempting to add our worksheet (in Excel) to the download area at the bottom of our HOME PAGE, and as soon as we are successful, you can join the charge!  There's definitely a learning curve, but we promise that it gets easier (and even fun, if you're a nerd) with experience!

Important points

  1. Sometimes it's a little difficult to determine the percentage of whole plants in a dish, so we cannot guarantee that every meal listed in this database qualifies.  If you notice an obvious error (i.e., a dish definitely does not consist of ≥66% whole plants), please CONTACT US.
  2. Meals are listed along with the total calories and an estimate of the percentage (in parenthesis) of calories that come from animal products, processed plant foods (e.g., white bread and rice), and oil (AKA "other").  In general, the smaller that number, the better (we recommend a goal of <50% - as you can see, such meals are the exception).
  3. Don't forget that you can make substitutions or special orders!  For the purposes of our database it is impossible to list all the possibilities available at various restaurants, but we will try to provide an example or two (or three) for restaurants that do not generally list prepared meals on their menus (such as all-you-can-eat places or those with custom menus).
